Payment Methods

The payment methods available at Pole Position are:

     ● Payment at the store:
          o Debit card
          o American Express
          o Cash
     ● Items shipped by post and courier GLS:
          o Bank transfer
          o Collect (only Portugal excluding islands)
          o PayPal
 

The payment details by bank transfer are sent by email after receipt of the order. The shipment of the items is pending on the receipt of the copy of the transfer document (by fax +351 22 537 2875 or email cristina.pinho@poleposition-pt.com), or for instance when the amount due is credited at our bank account. Due to the high costs on collect shipments, this method is only used for Portugal inland. Islands Açores and Madeira should use bank transfer or PayPal methods.

The PayPal method allows customers to use any credit and debit card to pay the orders. It’s a secure and fast way to pay. For additional details on using PayPal click here.

We also have at our store a credit system thru BPI Bank (only for residents in Portugal). This credit system requires only the ID document and photocopy, VAT card and photocopy and the fill-in of a small form. The cost of the operation is 10% of the value of the item which is paid when the item is picked up at the store. The remaining value is paid to BPI Bank by issuing 10 cheques to Banco BPI S.A. for the 30th of each of the following 10 months. The approval of the credit is given by BPI Bank within 30 minutes. To contract this credit you need to have all documents and cheques with you. Cheques can be from different banks but all need to be in the name of the buyer. The minimum amount for this credit is Euros 450- Shipping Methods

The shipping methods used by Pole Position are:

     ● By post (CTT)
     ● By courrier (GLS)

Pole Position selects the method of shipment according to the item(s) being shipped. The fastest way of shipment is always used to better serve our customers.

Shipping Costs – Portugal, Açores and Madeira

The shipping costs defined by Pole Position are:

     Shipping costs:

     ● Orders up to €200: Shipping costs €4
     ● Orders over €200: Free shipping

     Other costs:

     ● Collect: Additional charge of €2.50 regardless order value (only Portugal mainland)
     ● Bank transfer: No additional costs
     ● PayPal: 3% fee over the total value of the order
     ● Payment at the store: No additional costs

     Additional costs on shipment of fuel:

     ● Portugal (Mainland) : If the order includes fuel in 1 to 4 gallons (1 gallon = 3.78L), the shipping costs shall be €7 regardless of  the value of the order (when the order is placed for more than 4 gallons, the shipping cost is calculated in multiples of 4 gallons)

     ● Islands : If the order includes fuel in 1 to 2 gallons (1 gallon = 3.78L), the shipping costs shall be €7 regardless of  the value of the order (when the order is placed for more than 2 gallons, the shipping cost is calculated in multiples of 2 gallons)

Fuel can only be shipped to Portugal.
